STATE CHAMPS!!!!!

The Linden 12U all-star team won the state championship this past Monday. In the state tournament the boys went undefeated. We are so proud of all the boys, coaches, parents and fans. Our next stop will be in Lakeland, Florida for the southeastern regionals. The tournament begins July 29th and ends on August 3rd. This is a unique opportunity for the boys.
GO LINDEN!!! I am positive they will represent the state of Alabama well.

**Baseball is also the reason for the lack of post on this blog. We have been at the baseball fields since the end of January, and we are having the time of our lives.**

Honors Program

I am going to try to be a better blogger. My last day of school is tomorrow. The boys have been out for 1 1/2 weeks now. Here are some pics from the honor's day program at Marengo. Tyler was inducted into the Junior National Honor Society and Hayden was recognized for keeping his Honor society position for all A's.

Hayden is still playing baseball. Regular season ends Monday night. We are all ready for summer vacation.

Linden "Red Devils"

Saturday, the Linden "Red Devils" made their debut in 12U-USSSA baseball. The boys (this is Hayden's age group) had a blast playing. We ended the day with a record of 2-1. It was a new experience for most of the boys on the team. Lots was learned! And, I think the parents had just as much fun as the boys!

We are now looking forward to summer baseball with the Linden Astros. Our first game will be Friday, April 9th.

Our days are currently filled with baseball, baseball and more baseball. And, we can't forget the count down to summer vacation, 40 school days, to be exact!!!

Take me out to the ballgame!

It's here. Baseball has officially started. My favorite time of the year. Tyler started JV Baseball this year with the Marengo Academy Longhorns. We started with a two-day tournament in Luverne, Alabama. Just when you think Linden is in the middle of no where; go to Luverne. We had a blast anyway.
Tyler got to start at 2nd base on the first game Saturday morning, which I might add it was very cold and sleeting.
Get use to it. You will see lots of b-ball posts from now until July. We will eat, sleep and breathe the baseball field. Hayden started practice this Monday with the city league ball. Jereme is the coach.

Warning: Graphic Post

Hayden & Hayden killed a squirrel Saturday. They cleaned it, grilled it, and ate it. It was really gross, but they had fun doing it. Hayden B. said it tasted like chicken. Go figure. I tried it, but spit it really quickly.

The big "13"

Wow! Tyler turned 13 on February 16th! It is very hard to believe he is a TEENAGER! Time flies when you are having fun. We celebrated with cake and ice cream. Tyler had an Alabama cake. FYI, Jereme did the "A"! It turned out pretty good. We had a good time!

Birthdays!

Hayden celebrated his 11th birthday, January 28th. Reid turned 17 on the same day. We had cake and ice cream to celebrate their birthdays. We had been terribly sick with the virus, so I had "purchased" Hayden' s cake this year.
